B&B Flea Control Program
Fleas are No Simple Problem.
Fleas are more than a nuisance. They are annoying to humans, but they are a danger to pet health. Fleas are much more difficult to get rid of … and keep removed … than most retail products would have you believe. B&B’s flea programs, however, are the proven solution to protect your home and pets from fleas.
B&B provides comprehensive indoor and outdoor programs designed to work on all stages of the flea life cycle. It is really the only way to assure flea control.
Over 2,000 Kinds of Fleas!
Not all fleas are alike; in fact there are over 2000 described species of fleas. But by far the most common domestic flea is the cat flea. Cat fleas are about 1-3 mm in length, reddish-brown to black, and wingless, with strong hind legs that are well adapted for jumping and running through hair and feathers. The adults remain on the hosts and the females require a blood meal to produce eggs, which hatch within two days. The young fleas feed on dandruff, grain particles, skin flakes and adult flea fecal matter.
More than annoying, fleas can transmit disease and cause skin irritation, plus transmit diseases and allergens to other pets. And their bites itch!
You’ve Got To Eliminate Fleas Everywhere!
Effective control requires eradication from the pet, the home, and the yard with control of the flea life cycle. Removal from the pet alone is inadequate, it doesn’t solve the problem.
Flea Control is a Three Part Process.
1. Treat the pet.
Removal of the fleas by a veterinarian, grooming parlor or pet owner on the same day the home is treated.
2. Treat the home.
Concentrate on all areas the pet frequents. Vacuum the home. Wash pet bedding and throw rugs.
3. Treat the yard.
B&B’s Flea Programs are designed to effectively protect your home, family and pets. They work together inside and outside on all stages of the flea life cycle. Our indoor treatment is applied in the areas where the fleas live and breed with an effective product that includes an Insect Growth Regulator to prevent eggs from becoming active adults. Our outdoor treatment is applied to areas that surround the home and all areas that pets may visit.
