Middleburg, FL Pest Control

heroFlorida’s warm summers and mild winters offer the perfect climate for stinging insects. More than 300 bee species and almost two dozen wasp species call Florida home, including the invasive and highly aggressive Africanized bees. A bee or wasp single sting can cause a painful localized reaction that includes swelling, numbness, and inflammation. For those who are allergic to bee or wasp venom, the risks can be more serious and even life-threatening. B&B Exterminating uses the most advanced bee and wasp control technology available to eliminate these common pests from your home or business and protect you, your family and your guests or clients from unwanted encounters.

Bees or Wasps?

Are all stinging insects the same? If you are about to be stung, you might not be too worried about what kind of insect is attached to the stinger on the end of that insect. However, properly identifying the creature is one of the most important parts of our job. We need to know what is infesting your property so that we can properly eliminate the problem.

Both wasps and honey bees belong to the same order of insects, but their bodies and behaviors are quite different. Bees typically do not attack unless they are provoked, and they live in large colonies. Bees can range in color from all black to black or brown with orange or yellow stripes and tend to be hairy. On the other hand, wasps tend to be fairly aggressive and will attack with little provocation. Their bodies are smooth and shiny with narrow waists, and they have bright black and yellow patterns.

Bee and Wasp Damage

Some bees and wasps simply make nests or hives on your property, and their stings are the only real problem they pose. Other types of bees and wasps, such as carpenter bees and wood-boring wasps, can do serious damage to your home by building their nests in your home or chewing through wood beams, drywall and flooring.

Controlling Wasps and Bees

If you have a bee or wasp infestation on your property, it can be dangerous to safely remove it on your own. Our team can locate the source of the problem and identify the best and most thorough way to eliminate the problem with a multi-pronged approach that includes:

We work with you to form the most appropriate approach for your home or business needs.
